Following a poor start to the campaign, Bristol City chairman Colin Sexstone will hold talks with boss Keith Millen to discuss a way forward. City have picked up one win from nine games and sit just one point off the bottom of the Championship table.
"We know that Keith does a good job, and can do a good job for us," Sexstone told BBC Points West.
"I think we need a sit down to see what his plans are and see what more we can do as a board of directors."
Sexstone continued: "He understands the pressure he's under and it's a hard game.
"The pressure on any manager is difficult but at the moment we are working flat out together with Keith to make us successful and we'll keep trying to do that."
Millen took over the role Steve Coppell in August 2010 and led the side to a 15th place finish last season.
