Celtic defender Cha Du-ri has thanked his teammates for being there for him after his Old Firm sending off on the weekend.
The South Korean right-back was shown red by referee Calum Murray for a first-half challenge when Rangers were already 1-0 up at Ibrox on Sunday and admits he felt so lonely when he was walking from the pitch and even more so when 'Gers eventually won 3-2.
Cha, who joined the Hoops from Freiburg in 2010, admits he felt his sending off was undeserved and said the backing of his Celtic mates helped him get through the anguish.
"This week I have finally realised what that meant.
"I was sent off in a vital match and that put the team in great difficulty. In fact, it cost us the game really.
"All I could think about was that this defeat was all my fault.
"When I had to take the long walk back to the dressing room I felt like the loneliest man in the world. Then what my father told me all those years ago became true.
"All my team-mates, coaching team and even the medical staff came up to me and put their arm around my shoulder and told me I didn't deserve to be sent off.
"They have given me the strength to lift myself and carry on. I want to thank everyone for making me feel better.""The first thing my father taught me when I came to European football in Germany 10 years ago, was the importance of having good team-mates," Du-Ri told the Daily Record.
