Graham Arnold has heaped praise on Central Coast Mariners defender Josh Rose following his two-goal performance against Wellington Phoenix on the weekend.
The 28-year old left-back was superb in producing his best game in a Mariners shirt as he led the club to a 3-0 away win in Wellington and Arnold hopes he can reproduce that when his sides takes on Melbourne Victory tomorrow night.
"That is exactly what I want from him," Arnold said.
"I'm very happy with his defence, he's very solid and safe at the back. A big reason we signed him was to be an attacking left full-back.
"We've been asking him to have a go at defences and that's what he did on Saturday.
"We need more of the same on Thursday night and for the rest of the season."
The Mariners meet the Victory at AAMI Park on Thursday, November 18 - kick-off is at 7:30pm.
