Central Coast Mariners' Bojic cops two-match ban

Central Coast Mariners right-back Pedj Bojic has been given a two-match suspension after being found guilty of violent conduct.

The defender was involved in an off-the-ball incident with Adelaide United midfielder Joe Keenan in the 56th minute of the Mariners' 2-0 win over the Reds on Sunday.

The independent Match Review Panel found that Bojic had committed an offence, namely 'Assault on a Player (eg Violent Conduct when not challenging for the ball)' and has proposed a sanction of two matches after the incident escaped the attention of the referee.

Central Coast will have until 5.00pm (AEDT) today, 30 December, 2010, to accept the proposed sanction or refer the matter to a hearing by the FFA Disciplinary Committee.
