Celtic warned of Bosnia-Herzegovina midfielder Stilic

Celtic have been told by Lech Poznan to forget about a January move for midfielder Semir Stilic. The 21-year-old Lech Poznan player has been linked with a £2.5million move to the Scottish champions.

Sporting director Marek Pogorzelczyk claims the youngster is not ready for the rigours of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

"Semir is not yet physically prepared for this transfer," Pogorzelczyk said in the Daily Express.

"He has had trouble holding on for 90 minutes in the Polish league and the requirements abroad are much greater.

"During the spring, he will have to do some special physical work in training and he'll be more competitive in the summer and his price will be higher."

Pogorzelczyk added: "I have spoken to the player and his agent and I don't think they really want to change clubs right now. I think this is some sort of game."
