Celtic have fallen short of having Cha Du-ri's Old Firm red card rescinded.
The South Korean defender was sent off in the first half of his side's 3-2 loss to Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday for a tug on Lee Wallace which denied him a goalscoring opportunity.
The Hoops felt the decision by Calum Murray to send Cha from the pitch was the wrong one and in turn appealed but that has been upheld and he will be forced to sit out this Sunday's meeting with St Johnstone.
