Celtic captain Scott Brown has implored Gary Hooper to remain with the club.
The 24-year old striker is a firm target for Norwich City, who have had a £5million bid rejected, but Brown suggests his teammate would be worth a lot more if he was playing the way he is playing now in the Premier League.
"Everyone puts Gary down because he plays in Scotland for Celtic. If he was doing this week-in, week-out in the English Premier League, he'd be worth £15m or £20m," said Brown.
"It's hard the way people see Scottish-based players, but we are in the Champions League and doing better than a lot of the clubs down there.
"If it does happen for Gary, I wish him all the best, but I hope he stays."
