Celtic skipper Brown intent on leading club into Champions League

Celtic captain Scott Brown is intent on leading the club back to the main stage of the Champions League.

The Hoops lead Azerbaijani champions Qarabag 1-0 from the first leg last week and a positive result in the second leg on Wednesday night will take them into the final qualifying round of Europe's premier club competition.

"The Champions League is huge for this club, it's where we belong. We have been there in the past and we are going to do it again," said midfielder Brown.

"We are a big club and need to make sure we produce results now. It would be a big step for us if we could win this game.

"It would be great if we could score early. That would be lovely but we defend well as a team and we can keep a clean sheet and score.

"You have to trust in your defence, midfield and strike force and let everyone do their job. Overall, we are as good as anyone in this competition and this is where we need to show it."
