Celtic skipper Brown expects to be back in Scotland fold

Celtic captain Scott Brown has suggested he could be back in action for Scotland later this month.

Craig Levein's Scotland side take on Wales in Cardiff on October 12 and Belgium in Brussels four days later in 2014 World Cup qualification and midfielder Brown is likely to be back after missing the Group A openers against Macedonia and Serbia in September because of injury.

"Hopefully I can make the Scotland squad," he said ahead of Celtic's Champions League clash with Spartak Moscow tomorrow night.

"I am feeling good just now, I have played four or five games in the last couple of weeks and everything feels good.

"So I think the rest has definitely done me good, that's for sure."
