Celtic defender Daniel Majstorovic will miss the remainder of the season after rupturing a cruciate ligament at Sweden training today.
The 34-year old centre-half collided with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anders Svensson late in the session and will now undergo an operation to fix the problem.
"Unfortunately he will be out long-term. Everyone at Celtic wishes Daniel a speedy recovery from injury.""Celtic's medical team will be in close liaison with the Swedish FA medical team to ensure that Daniel receives the best of care," read a statement on Celtic's official website.
Majstorovic had only recently returned from a badly broken cheekbone which he sustained whilst on club duty just over two months ago.
