Celtic's Hooper targets Barcelona after Champions League triumph

Gary Hooper helped Celtic to a dramatic 3-2 win over Spartak Moscow in the Champions League last night with a neat 12th minute finish and now he is gunning for the world's best.

The Bhoys meet Catalan giants Barcelona at the Nou Camp on October 23 and Hooper is looking to build on the form that has seen the Glasgow club take four points from two Group G outings.

"The gaffer (Neil Lennon) has just told us to go for it. He has told us to have no fear and just go for it in every game," said Hooper.

"We did well against Benfica in our first game which I thought was a good point. This was a great three points tonight.

"You never know what can happen now. We could play against Barca and get an early goal again. You just never know in football. If we play like that and try to press against them and have no fear you don't know what could happen.

"We were really confident after that game against Motherwell (in the league) at the weekend. Now it's sky-high and we can't wait for Sunday's game against Hearts."
