Celtic's Forrest picks up injury at Scotland training

The Daily Record is reporting that Celtic's James Forrest sustained a groin injury while training with Scotland last week.

The 22-year old winger had managed just 10 starts in the Scottish Premiership with the Hoops before he was called into Gordon Strachan's squad for last Wednesday's friendly with Poland in Warsaw.

Injury and illness have restricted Forrest over the past two years and he now finds himself once again in the medical rook after coming away from national team camp with a groin strain.

The problem is set to keep Forrest out for up to four weeks and it is believed that Celtic and manager Neil Lennon are frustrated that the issue occurred while with Scotland.
