Efe Ambrose is almost certain to miss Celtic's Champions League Round of 16 meeting with Juventus on Tuesday because of African Cup duties.
The 24-year old defender played 81 minutes in defence for the Super Eagles as they beat Mali 4-1 in the semi-finals to book their place in the final where they will meet Burkina Faso in Johannesburg.
Ambrose is due to return to Glasgow on Monday night but that would give less than 24 hours to prepare for the visit of Juventus in the first leg of the initial knockout phase of Europe's premier club competition.
His potential absence could create a massive headache for Hoops boss Neil Lennon who will have to decide if he switches full-back Mikael Lustig to central defence, takes Charlie Mulgrew out of midfield or throws Thomas Rogne into the fire.
