Celtic to ruffle Rangers feathers with possible move for Boyd

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed he could make a winter move for former Rangers striker Kris Boyd.

The 28-year old is a free agent after quitting Turkish club Eskisehirspor amidst payment issues and the Hoops could quite possibly swoop for the ex-'Gers ace who left Ibrox for Middlesbrough in the summer of 2010.

"He is a proven goalscorer. I don't know how much football he has played of late," said Lennon.

"But he is a player with a great record and any player like that would interest me.

"You are taking hypothetically here and are starting to speculate.

"Regards to that question would it be a problem that Boyd had played for Rangers, no, I can't see it being a problem.

"But again I don't want to talk about players coming and going until January."
