Celtic have rejected a formal approach from Spartak Moscow for star winger Aiden McGeady. The Daily Mail says Celtic informed Spartak that the 24-year-old would not be leaving Glasgow this summer and remained a key part of the Parkhead club's plans.
The Russians could yet return with an improved offer but, just as they did with Birmingham City in January, Celtic are proving resistant to interest in the Republic of Ireland international.
Retaining McGeady seems a priority for next season but the issue of the management structure in charge of the squad has yet to be resolved.
