Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal admits he feared Chelsea star Didier Drogba had broken his ankle this week.
Stretchered from the field after 36 minutes of Israel's 4-3 friendly defeat to the Ivory Coast on Wednesday night, Parkhead midfielder Kayal initially believed he had sustained a broken ankle identical to Izaguirre's in Aberdeen last weekend.
"I was in shock when I felt the pain in my ankle because the first thing that flashed through my mind was what happened to Emilio Izaguirre," said Kayal. "He (Drogba) came in very hard.
'In a regular game, he would have got a yellow card or perhaps even a red card for something like that.
"He apologised to me afterwards. I'm undergoing examinations and we'll see what the situation is."
