Celtic legend Larsson plays down managerial role

Henrik Larsson has remained calm regarding rumours that he is set to become Celtic's new manager.

The club legend, who currently manages Swedish side Falkenberg, is odds-on favourite with most bookmakers to replace departing Neil Lennon in the Celtic Park hotseat.

Larsson is one of the most famous names at Parkhead but told the Daily Record that he is not ready to manage the Glasgow giants just yet.

"It is not true because I have the job here in Falkenberg," he said.

"My focus is only on the things that I am working with here and to get Falkenberg to stay up in Allsvenskan (Swedish top flight).

"I understand that I always will be linked with the job in Celtic after my years in the club as a player.

"Of course I can see myself as manager of Celtic and to go there in the future.

"But as I said before, my focus now is on Falkenberg. Nothing else."
