Celtic keeper Brown wants loan move made permanent

With limited opportunities at Celtic, stopper Mark Brown is hoping his loan switch to Kilmarnock will be made permanent. The Hoops keeper has joined Killie on a short-term deal until January after finding opportunities hard to come by at Parkhead.

With Artur Boruc and Lucas Zaluska ahead of him in the pecking order.

"With those two at Celtic it was obviously going to be tough to be involved so I was looking to move on a permanent basis or get a loan move," said Brown.

"I'm delighted to be at Killie. It's the final year of my contract at Celtic and this is a chance for me to show what I can do.

"If I do well here then when I go back in January maybe someone will come in with a permanent deal. If not I'll return to Celtic for the final six months and see what happens after that.

"I played 14 games for Celtic. I'd like to have played more but I knew when Artur was fit he would play.

"Playing for Killie will give me a chance to show what I can do - it's probably easier for people to come and watch me especially as there is no reserve league this year."
