Celtic face Southampton, West Ham competition for Newcastle's Forster

Celtic remain hopeful of signing Newcastle United goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

The Scottish Sun says the Hoops have agreed a £2m fee with Newcastle for the goalkeeper - but personal terms are still proving a stumbling block after weeks of talks.

Magpies boss Alan Pardew expects to see Forster at pre-season training next week - as West Ham United and Southampton monitor the situation.

He said: "At the moment he is coming back to us. Fraser will be with us until he finds a club and we find a fee that works for us."
