Celtic boss Neil Lennon admits the club are determined to secure Kris Commons to a new contract.
The 30-year old midfielder, who won the PFA Scotland Player of the Year award this season, has a further 12 months remaining on his current deal but Lennon is keen to tie him down for a little while longer.
"That would be ideal. Kris has at least two more good years in him," Lennon said of Commons.
The former Stoke City, Nottingham Forest and Derby County man scored 27 league goals in 2013/14 to help guide the Bhoys to their third successive title.
