Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk is pushing to sign for Southampton.
The Daily Star says Van Dijk, 23, is keen to join up with fellow Dutchman Ronald Koeman at Saints and partner Jose Fonte, who yesterday signed a new three-year deal at St Mary's.
Newcastle and Sunderland are also still interested in the defender, but another suitor Swansea have turned their attention to Napoli's Argentina star Federico Fernandez.
