Celtic boss Lennon targeting more efficiency at Spartak Moscow

Celtic manager Neil Lennon knows his side will have to be much more efficient if they want to beat Spartak Moscow this week.

The Bhoys take on the Russian outfit at the Luzhniki Stadium in their second Champions League group stage match on Tuesday night and Lennon wants a wee bit more productivity in the final third against a difficult opponent.

Celtic regained top spot on the Scottish Premier League table with a 2-0 win at Motherwell on Saturday and although that was a pleasing result for Lennon, he wants more in Moscow.

"I thought we were brilliant from start to finish although I'm a little bit annoyed we didn't come out more comfortable winners," he said after the victory over the Well.

"That's the best we have played at Fir Park in my time with Celtic as player, coach and manager.

"Psychologically, we have gone top of the league, and that's a good marker for us going into Tuesday night's game.

"Tuesday will be different. We won't have anywhere near the amount of chances or possession. But our confidence is high."
