Celtic boss Lennon identifies Pirlo as Juventus danger man

Celtic manager Neil Lennon is well aware that Juventus star Andrea Pirlo holds the key to his sides Champions League chances.

The Hoops meet the Italian champions in the two-legged Round of 16 knockout phase in February and March next year and Lennon is of the belief that the Italian playmaker is the man to stop if his side wants to get past Antonio Conte's men.

"If we are going to prevail we have to stop Pirlo playing," he said.

"People say he doesn't have the legs anymore but he does - he's a very good athlete.

"He might play at a different pace to everyone else but he's so good he can afford to do that.

"His passing with both feet is second to none. Set-pieces, free kicks, corners, his delivery is excellent.

"He is a wonderful player and has got better over the years.

"He had a great Euros - he was Italy's best player and one of the players of the tournament."
