Celtic have been delivered a blow with news that Adam Matthews has been ruled out for up to 12 weeks.
The Welsh defender landed awkwardly after a challenge by Motherwell's Keith Lasley on the weekend and will now undergo shoulder surgery on Wednesday to address the problem.
Matthews saw a specialist on Monday to assess the severity of the damage and it was advised he have an operation which is expected to keep him out for 10-12 weeks.
