Chris Sutton is the new bookies' favourite to be installed as manager at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The former Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea and Celtic striker is in the running to replace Terry Butcher in the Highlands and has recently been made the odds-on favourite.
However, the former Lincoln City boss will go up against ex-Malaga manager Antonio Tapia and Kenny Shiels, formerly of Kilmarnock, for the Inverness role.
Tapia's UK-based lawyer, Jose Martinez, suggested that Manuel Pellegrini's former sporting director was veryb interested in the job.
"Mr Tapia is very keen to establish himself as a coach in the UK and sees the Inverness job as a wonderful opportunity," he said.
"It is a longstanding ambition. He has 30 years' experience and is very highly thought of in his home country.
"Quite recently, he was rated as one of the top five coaches in Spain. He is a good friend of Josep Guardiola and he is one who could offer a recommendation for Antonio's candidacy."
