Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas desperate to make Euros squad

Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas is still desperate to be at Euro 2020 in the Spain squad.

He has won the Zarra Trophy in LaLiga Santander in each of the last three seasons.

Robert Moreno left him out entirely from his plans, despite knowing him well from his time in Vigo, and now he hopes to return under Luis Enrique, reports Marca.

The Celta icon has not been at his usual level this season, though he is still only two goals behind Levante's Roger Marti and one behind Gerard Moreno, Angel Rodriguez, Joselu Mato and Lucas Perez in the race for the Zarra, which is awarded to the highest scoring Spaniard in the Spanish top flight.

Aspas is on eight goals for the season alongside Loren Moron, Jaime Mata and Santi Cazorla.
