Celta Vigo ready to sell as Newcastle rival Man Utd, Arsenal for Gabri Veiga

The explosive form of Gabri Veiga at Celta Vigo has alerted England's biggest clubs.

Veiga was not regarded a senior player at Celta until the turn of the year. But he has since scored six goals and produced two assists.

Such form, reports AS, has brought him to the attention of Manchester United and Arsenal. Newcastle, meanwhile, had scouts at Balaídos to see Veiga in action against Atletico Madrid a fortnight ago.

At the moment, he has a contract until 2026, although it seems very difficult for Celta to retain him next summer.

Instead, they will seek to sell the teen for a club record €30m.

New Celta coach Carlos Carvalhal said: "He is intelligent, very strong and knows how to reach finishing zones. He will go very high in the world of football."
