Cagliari president Massimo Cellino blames their poor season start on the club's stadium row.
Cagliari have had to play their home games at Stadio Sant'Elia this term because authorities have deemed the Is Areans unsafe.
"The guys have put their hearts and souls into the games," he told L'Unione Sarda. "But now their morale is in pieces.
"And that's because of the stadium issue.
"Every time I speak with the players I look down at the floor - I cannot look them in the eyes, because I feel like a cheat."
