Cedric Soares says Arsenal's new players have settled in quickly.

With Takehiro Tomiyasu still injured, Cedric battled with Ben White for a spot on the right side of manager Mikel Arteta's defence. After playing 180 minutes and registering two assists, the Portugal international spoke of his prospects for the upcoming season.

“The pre-season has been very positive and we had an excellent USA Tour," Cedric told the London Evening Standard. “The new players are connecting really well with the rest of the team and the squad is becoming a strong unit.

“Personally, I am very motivated after these last few games and I feel ready to help the team achieve their goals for this season."
