Cech urges Chelsea fans and Rafa to stick together

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has urged everyone connected to the club to be united.

Cech insists it's time for everyone to work together to achieve the club's aims.

He said: "I don't know exactly what was said in the press conference [at Middlesbrough]. But we live in a democracy and he [Benitez] has the right to express his opinion, and the fans have the right to express theirs when they come to the game.

"But the main thing is not the manager, or the players, it's the club. The club took Rafa Benitez because they wanted to improve the situation and achieve our targets so he's here to do his best and to help us as much as he can. We as players need to do the same, to try to win games and move forward and achieve our targets.

"As a club, everyone should have the same feeling. We are Chelsea football club and we should be united - players, managers, board, the fans, everyone - to achieve the targets.

"We try to do as much as we can to move forward and to finish third at least. And we will try to win the FA Cup and Europa League. There are still things to be played for and we will try to achieve that."
