Edinson Cavani admits Valencia's struggles this season has surprised him.
The veteran striker joined Valencia last summer on a free transfer from Manchester United.
Cavani told La Liga: "Football gives you many things, but it also takes another away from you.
"I'm not coming here to retire, I want to take a path in this club.
"I prepare and work to walk a path in this club and if one day I feel that things are not going, with all the love in the world and respect I will communicate it to the club and to the people and I will leave football... but today what most my wish is that Valencia does well and gets to where it should be."
