Valencia striker Edinson Cavani says he's enjoyed his first months with coach Rino Gattuso.

Valencia meet Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana semifinal in Saudi Arabia today.

Cavani said, "I see him as a passionate coach, who lives and feels the football.

"He believes in work, in the mentality of football players and works so that we can all follow his identity of work and sacrifice. That is our coach. We hope that we can all understand the message and learn every day from what he has given to football and from the titles he won, which certainly weren't given away.

"It's up to us to open up and learn from the desire he has to work. This will help us find the results we want."
