Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani expects to join Boca Juniors this summer, it has been revealed.

TyC Sports says Cavani expects to seal a transfer to Argentine giants Boca Juniors this summer, according to his former Manchester United teammate Marcos Rojo.

Cavani's future at Old Trafford was plunged into uncertainty earlier this week after his father, Luis, claimed he is unhappy in England and wants to move back to South America.

The veteran striker is out of contract at the end of June and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was reportedly keen to activate a clause to extend his stay for another year.

But Cavani has told his former teammate Rojo to wait for him at Boca "because I'll be there with you in June".
