Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew's tirade against Manchester City's Manuel Pellegrini was caught by the TV mikes last night. Pardew has apologised for his rant after referee Mike Jones controversially disallowed a Cheick Tiote strike in the Blues' 2-0 win at St James' Park on Sunday.
Pardew, 52, was caught on TV shouting, "Shut your noise, you f*****g old c**t," as the two benches clashed just before half-time.
Asked what it felt like to be branded an "old c**t", Pellegrini - eight years Pardew's senior - said: "It is nothing important. I don't know what he said. I know some managers think they will get an advantage if they always complain about decisions."
