Catania are interested in Juventus defender Frederik Sorensen.
Bologna were in talks for the Dane, but have pulled back in recent days.
The Sicilian side are understood to be willing to buy a 50 per cent stake in the defender who can be used both as a centre-back and a right-back.
Sorensen was impressive last season was called upon by ex-Juve coach Gigi del Neri.
