Cassano happy at Sampdoria

Antonio Cassano insists he's happy at Sampdoria.

"I have always been under scrutiny by everyone and I have to prove myself in every game," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "If I make a mistake, I get slated, but I'm not scared of that.

"Here at Sampdoria I have found everything I had been missing in my 10 years as a footballer, people who have words of encouragement when things go badly.

"I want to stay at Samp for a long time. I know that there are other teams interested and that they talk to my agent, but the President wants me to stay here for good.

"My contract expires when I am 31 and I have already discussed extending it with Marotta for another three seasons. At the age of 34 I will retire."
