John Carver will not consider resigning from Newcastle United.
The Daily Star says Carver spoke to managing director Lee Charnley last night in the wake of the Toon's surrender at Leicester and his verbal attack afterwards.
He has vowed to fight on until the end of the season with the Magpies embroiled in a desperate relegation battle following an eight-match losing run.
Owner Mike Ashley's feelings on the latest Toon crisis aren't known.
But Charnley wants assurances from Carver that he can restore some sense of harmony in the dressing room before Saturday's crucial home game against West Brom.
Only a lack of an immediate replacement could save Carver, 50, from the axe.
