Newcastle United head coach John Carver says he does not expect to know his fate before the last game of the season.

The Magpies sit in 17th position on the Premier League table, two points above the drop zone, ahead of the weekend's clash with the already-relegated QPR at Loftus Road.

Carver's future as Toon boos is still up in the air and even if he guarantees safety, he does not believe a decision will be made in the next week or so.

"Even if we win on Saturday and are safe, I still want to go and win the West Ham game, then we'll talk about my future," said Carver.
