Michael Carrick is still to hear from Manchester United about a new deal.
Off contract in June, Carrick is having to wait about news of a new deal with next season's manager yet to be decided.
The Daily Mail says United have been proactive with older players in the past, tying stars down to one-year extensions in a bid to keep experienced heads inside the dressing room.
But that has not applied to Carrick thus far, who has heard nothing. He has genuine interest from abroad, thought to be teams in the MLS and Spain, but hopes to stay in England.
