Michael Carrick admitted he could not believe he scored such a lovely goal for Manchester United on Wednesday night.
The veteran midfielder curled home a delightful effort in the 17th minute of United's eventual 3-1 win over Northampton Town in the third round of the EFL Cup.
Wayne Rooney's free-kick from inside the area rebounded into the path of Carrick who hit a first-time effort beyond Cobblers keeper Adam Smith, which surprised even himself.
Where did that come from?
Nice to score, even better to win.
Great to hear the fans in full voice.
Thanks again.
