The Carolina RailHawks have confirmed the signing of former MLS midfielder Alex Martinez.
The NASL outfit have landed the 23-year old Uruguayan for the remainder of the 2014 season following a short stint with the Orange County Blues.
Martinez was selected by reigning MLS champions Sporting Kansas City in the third round of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft but was released in June after making 10 appearances in the USA and Canada's top flight.
The former High Point University and NC State graduate joins older Enzo Martinez at WakeMed Soccer Park with the RailHawks currently sitting fifth in the second tier of American soccer.
