Carlos Vela has admitted his frustration with last season's Arsenal campaign.
Last season he made the Gunners' starting line-up only once.
Vela said: "It was difficult for me. I didn't have many opportunities when I was fit.
"Then, injuries didn't allow me to be in good form. But I still have time to get ready for the World Cup."
The Mexican appears to have gone further down the pecking order at the Emirates after boss Arsene Wenger completed the signing of Moroccan hitman Marouane Chamakh last Friday.
He said: "I'm only concentrating on playing for Mexico and having a good World Cup. Having a good World Cup can open many doors. If not at Arsenal, we'll see where."
