Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to hand Rene Meulensteen an immediate return to football.
Meulensteen is expected to leave Fulham after his demotion from being manager on Friday.
The Mirror says Cardiff are understood to be interested in taking him on as assistant to Solskjaer. The pair worked together at Manchester United.
