Cardiff boss Neil Warnock hit with heavy FA fine

Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has been hit with a £20,000 FA fine.

Warnock denied three separate breaches of FA rules after post-match comments about referee Craig Pawson.

It followed Cardiff's defeat by Chelsea last month when the FA deemed post-match interviews implied bias on Pawson's part because officials favoured big clubs.

Warnock was charged by the FA, requested a personal hearing, and an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing on Wednesday upheld the verdict.

He said at the time: “Against the big teams, you have to have VAR because you don't get the big decisions.

“The equalising goal is the winning goal really, and if you can't see across the line and see offside I don't know why we are in the game."
