Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay admits his row with the club's owner Vincent Tan could wreck their survival hopes.
Mackay is expected to meet with Tan tomorrow to thrash out their differences.
Asked if he felt the stand-off will affect Cardiff's hopes of staying in the Premier League, he said: "Absolutely. You can't have your dirty linen washed in public every week of the year without it affecting the club.
"That won't happen immediately because it's my job to make sure I protect them (the players).
"They are a great group of people who want to make sure we stay in Premier League football, without a doubt.
"But I am not naive enough to think they don't read newspapers or watch television and think 'what on earth is going on?'."
