Cardiff's Dave Jones has hit back at Nottingham Forest counterpart Billy Davies by insisting there was no intent in Seyi Olofinjana's tackle on Dexter Blackstock. Striker Blackstock was carried off with knee damage following a crunching collision with Bluebirds midfielder Olofinjana during Forest's 2-0 victory at the Cardiff City Stadium last weekend.
Davies reportedly wants Forest to complain to the Football League over the challenge, which has left 24-year-old Blackstock facing two operations to save his career and a possible year on the sidelines.
"There was no intent from Seyi and it's just something else for Billy Davies to moan about," said Jones in The Daily Mirror.
"He's done a lot of that recently and he has continued with that. We have to get on with life.
"Nothing was said after the game. We have spoken and looked at the incident but you can't turn back the clock.
"I have spoken to Seyi and he has been in contact with the physio at Forest. I'm not sure if he spoke to Dexter as well but he did try to make contact.
"All we can do is send Dexter our best wishes and a speedy recovery as quickly as possible."
