Adelaide United captain Travis Dodd heads a list of key players that may be forced to miss this weekend's vital clash with Sydney FC. The Reds are in danger of facing the league leaders without Dodd who has a calf strain and may also be without key defensive duo Mark Rudan and Iain Fyfe along with winger Cassio.

Dodd is the main danger of missing for Aurelio Vidmar's side whilst the other three still remain a chance, especially Fyfe who is only sick.

The Reds are in dire need of a win as they currently sit 7th on the A-League table on 12 points, seven behind this week's opponents Sydney.

They meet the Sky Blues on Friday night at Hindmarsh Stadium - kick-off is at 8:00pm.
