Middlesbrough cruised into the fourth round of the Capital One Cup courtesy of a 3-0 home win over Wolves on Tuesday.
Albert Adomah pounced on a defensive error in the 37th minute to put his side ahead at the Riverside Stadium before Diego Fabbrini added a second 20 minutes later.
The Italian midfielder, on loan from Watford, grabbed his third goal of the season when firing home Adomah's pass which was left for him by Carlos De Pena.
Aitor Karanka's Boro side wrapped it up in the 64th minute when De Pena's ball into the area flicked off the foot of Fabbrini and into the path of Adomah who helped himself to his second of the night, safely seeing the home side through to the next phase.
