Fabio Capello has declared Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti the greatest Italy has produced.

Capello's opinion is no small thing, given he worked during a generation which saw Arrigo Sacchi, Giovanni Trapattoni, Marcello Lippi and Capello himself reach the pinnacle of the game.

But Capello is adamant and after Real Madrid's victory against Celtic declared: "Madrid has played a fantastic game.

"The best Italian coach of all time is Carlo Ancelotti".

Ancelotti also achieved his 100th victory against Celtic in the Champions League, being two wins away from the top rated Arrigo Sacchi.
