Capello names England squad for Brazil friendly

Fabio Capello has named his England squad for Saturday's international friendly against Brazil in Qatar.

The Italian tactician has handed an opportunity to in-form Sunderland striker Darren Bent despite watching him miss a penalty against his former club Tottenham on Saturday, leaving out Manchester United goalsneak Michael Owen yet again.

Spurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone was a surprise call-up as Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard missed out due to injury.

Aston VillaStephen Warnock is expected to get a chance at left-back as Chelsea's Ashley Cole will miss with an ankle injury.

The following is Capello's 24-man squad for the clash with Brazil:
